Outdoor Home Improvements recently worked their garden magic using artificial grass as a maintenance-free and modern transformation in a city property. The client wanted an attractive, long-lasting and practical space to host social events and enjoy working out in the sunshine.
To provide them with their dream outdoor space, the team also created a small pebble bay as a divider between the steps and the grass. A perfect combination of practicality and a clean, modern appearance.

At Outdoor Home Improvements, we design every garden to the customer’s lifestyle requirements. In this case, the client had existing garden structures of a pull up station, a large shed and corner decking, which had to be considered when installing the artificial grass surface. So to install the artificial grass, the team had to ensure it was cut with precision to fit around the existing garden features.
Before installing the grass, the team completed the necessary groundwork and placed a layer of rubber matting below to prevent weeds and mud seeping through, as well as to improve water drainage. As this garden has a slight slope towards the posterior of the house, great drainage significantly helps when it comes to preventing large puddles forming at the back door.
Since the client frequently uses their pull up bar, we advised that they installed shock pad underlays for increased safety. When designing this fitness area, the team ensured it would still have a modern, tidy look so as to not distract from the rest of the garden.
Lastly, Outdoor Home Improvements updated the pre-existing flower bed with new pebbles for the client to fill with beautiful plants now that their garden is a place they enjoy spending time in. When deciding on the shape of this section, the team advised on a rounded end to create a smoother appearance that complements the shape of their existing plant pots.
