A balcony is a small space that works hard, so the surface you choose needs to be tough, safe and easy to live with. Resin balconies deliver on all three. The seamless, tightly bound finish creates a smooth, contemporary floor with no loose stones or awkward joints, and the glass dust blended into every mix gives a naturally non-slip surface that stays safe underfoot even after rain. That combination makes balcony resin flooring a practical as well as a stylish choice.
Resin balcony flooring is also comfortable to use. The surface stays cool even when it has been sitting in the sun, so it will not scorch bare feet on a warm day, and the even finish is pleasant to walk on and simple to furnish without wobbling tables or chairs. Whether you picture your balcony as a sun soaked deck, a quiet dining spot or a compact garden retreat, resin gives you a clean, usable base to build on.
Keeping a resin balcony looking its best is refreshingly easy. The surface is stain resistant and debris can simply be swept, vacuumed or washed away, so a quick power wash a couple of times a year is usually all it takes to keep it in pristine condition. There are no gaps for dirt to collect in and no loose material to sweep up, which is a real advantage in a space that is often just off a living room or bedroom.
In most cases resin balcony surfacing can be installed over an existing sound surface, keeping the work quick and clean. Our qualified surveyors will assess your balcony during a free site visit and recommend the right approach before preparing a no obligation quote.
Because resin comes in such a wide range of colours and textures, your balcony can be finished to reflect your own style and the character of your property. A softer, natural blend keeps a balcony feeling warm and understated, while a bold or contrasting colour can turn a small space into a real feature. As resin is trowelled on site, we can also work neatly around drains, upstands and awkward corners for a flawless result.
A balcony often sits within view of the rest of your outdoor space, so it can be effective to coordinate its finish with the surfaces below. Choosing a colour that ties in with a resin patio, resin pathways, resin steps or a resin pool surround helps the whole property feel connected and considered. You can browse the options on our resin colour range page and see how different blends might work for your home.
Resin balconies share the strengths of our wider resin bound surfacing, including excellent durability and UV stability, so the floor keeps its colour and finish year after year rather than fading or wearing thin. It is a hardwearing surface that copes well with the exposure a balcony gets from sun, wind and rain, which makes it a sound long term choice for an elevated outdoor space.
As a family run business working across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset since 2011, we bring craftsmanship and honest advice to every resin balcony we install.
