As a trusted landscaping company in South Devon, we were delighted when a customer recently got in touch about their new-build garden. They wanted to transform their back garden into a relaxing paradise which our team were excited to bring to life.

What Did The New Build Landscaping Project Entail?

When they moved into the home, the garden was left as an unattractive pile of rubble and mud. The outdoor space was built to be a two-tiered garden and had a lot of potential to be a tranquil and attractive space that the homeowner could enjoy.

From the start, our main objectives were as follows:

  • To link the different levels of the garden together
  • To introduce different materials and aspects to the garden
  • Create large, functional areas that could be enjoyed by different members of the family
  • To fit a small shed into the design

How Did Outdoor Home Improvements Help?

Due to the complexity of the design that the owners wanted and the space available to work with, the team had to get inventive with their garden landscaping ideas. After working closely with the owners, and completing all of the relevant groundwork, we decided on a finished design that included:

  • Installation of various elements across the garden, including, flagstone pathways and patios
  • Fitting sleeper walls and planters in the previously under-utilised spaces between the two levels. These were installed and several plants were planted to bring some colour and vibrance to the garden
  • Timber steps were installed, to bring together the raised flower beds installed alongside one fence and the sleepers
  • Finally, a new artificial grass lawn was fitted in the bottom section of the garden and a small shed was installed in the corner for additional storage

Once completed, the family now had a versatile, low-maintenance and functional garden they could enjoy all year round, whatever the weather.
